In Writer-Director Donna Musil's film, BRATS: Our Journey Home, U.S. military brats share intimate memories about their unique childhoods - growing up on military bases around the world, then struggling to fit into an American lifestyle with which they have little in common. Narrated and featuring songs by Kris Kristofferson. Interviews include the late General Norman Schwarzkopf; military brat author Mary Edwards Wertsch, the first to identify brats as a hidden American subculture; and brats of all ages, races, and branches of service.
BRATS Raw is a series of uncut interviews from the award-winning documentary, BRATS: Our Journey Home. In the first segment, BRATS Raw: Kristofferson & Schwarzkopf, two American icons share their own stories about growing up military. Legendary singer/songwriter Kris Kristofferson and the late General Norman Schwarzkopf were both soldiers and the sons of soldiers. Kris, an Air Force Brat, recalls the difficulty he had telling his mother he was turning down a teaching assignment at West Point to try his hand at songwriting in Nashville. General Schwarzkopf, an Army Brat, describes living with his father in Iran, just after World War II, before attending a DoD school in Heidelberg and an international school in Switzerland. Poignant and provocative, BRATS Raw is a rare glimpse into the childhoods and personal lives of two military brats who have shaped America's future.

Institutional Licenses include limited public performance rights in classrooms, auditoriums, and libraries where no admission is charged. A library may circulate the DVD amongst its own members only, but it may not share the DVD with other libraries.
Both Individual and Institutional licenses are for non-theatrical, non-commercial, non-television (including cable, satellite, and closed circuit), non-internet use only.
These rules will be enforced to the full extent of the law.
DVD FORMAT
All DVDs are NTSC format (U.S.), but will play on European DVD players.
